Wise-Sync and Wise-Pay will be offline for around 30 mins from 07:30 - 08:00 AEST on the 24th of May, 2018 (Check Timezone) while we roll out an important update.
With the upcoming changes to the General Data Protection Regulations in the EU, we're taking the opportunity to update our own Data Privacy frameworks that govern the use of Wise-Sync and Wise-Pay throughout the world. Privacy is certainly becoming a topic of strong debate around the globe, and it's effect on software platforms is becoming more clear. Companies that engage in spammy, aggressive and unwarranted communications will become a target for Information Commissionaires around the globe.
In full support of the basis for GDPR, we've decided to adopt a 'Privacy First' approach, with the objectives of being the platform that businesses of all sizes want to use. You can read more on our Privacy & Trust pages here.
While we're making the changes to support GDPR, we've also rolled in a couple of sneaky updates to address some issues at the same time. Here's the short list of the changes that you will see in this release.
- Addition of Wise-Pay and Wise-Sync Terms Acceptance during user access flows
- Addition of Company Disconnected Event Type for Wise-Pay (to notify you if your Accounting System is disconnected).
